Sodium hydrosulfide, also known as sodium bisulfide, is an inorganic chemical compound with a strongly alkaline and reducing nature, widely used in mining, chemical, paper, tanning, and water treatment industries. It is generally marketed in aqueous solution (30–45%) or in solid form, and is characterized by its high reactivity, intense hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) odor, and corrosive nature.
