COBALT SULFATE

Crystalline pinkish-red powder (typical color of hydrated Co²⁺ salts). In its heptahydrate form (CoSO₄·7H₂O), it is highly soluble in water, releasing stable Co²⁺ ions into solution.

Uses and Applications

Corrosion inhibitor in the copper electrowinning process
Additive, to control corrosion in anodes during the copper electrowinning (EW) process and aids the transfer of Cu+2 from solution to the forming copper cathode.
